ok, i just hooked up an orion 2400d amp to ONE of my two power acoustik fubr 10s that i had previously been running both off a m1286i. i just got the (orion) amp today and did a very quick job on hooking it up although i know its all hooked up right as far as the power, ground, and remote wire goes, the problem is that i only plugged in the posi n neg wires to one of the subs, the right one. it plays and all but it sounds WAY different, it will play the higher notes very loud but i can barely hear the lower notes, thats basically the opposite of how they played before on the m1286i. i noticed that the sub thats playing is barely moving, even on low notes, im going to attempt at making a quality install on it in the morning but its very confusing as to what the problem here is. is it that the subs are dual 2 ohms and that they arent wired right in the voicecoils as far as the ohm load goes or something? every bit of advice and/or info would be very much appreciated

Does that amp have an adjustable subsonic filter built in?
If so, turn it to a lower frequency (or try turning it off).
i have no idea, howould i tell if it does or not? and if so how would i go about turining it down or off?

should have a switch that says LOW PASS/HIGH PASS on your amp
so im gonna want it on low pass then right? but what if it already is? i have no clue if it is or not, i just picked it up and threw it right in the trunk and had it playing in about 15 mins, i didnt look at anything

Not too sure, just a thought. But if youre only putting power on one of the subs, and theyre both in the same box, it isnt playing right because the box is too big. Of course, that might make it play lower rather than higher, but its just food for thought...

you can't just toss a new amp in your car without adjusting any of the knobs, hook it up to one of your two subs, and expect things to sound right. get both subs hooked up right, get your gains and crossovers set up. then holler if something still isn't right.
