help needed ASAP!

98 avalon and 92 camry, i switched the HU's out in both and now they dont work, i got new wiring harness but still a no go, avalon=Kenwood KDC-X790, camry=JVC ---???, they both worked before i switched them, so could anyone help me? i been trying to figure it out for a week, so i have no music in the both cars right now.

Do you have a DMM? If so check voltage on both your switched power and main power wire.

got the HU to power on, but theirs no sound. the avalon as a amplifier. when i turn the volume on HU on high i hear sound from the sub, but nothing from the speakers. what could be causing this problem?

do the cars have a 1 or 2 plug wire harness??

1 plug harness with RCA for the front and rear speakers, but they are plugged in

Are you running any speakers off the HU amp, or are you using pre-out only signal? I'd check and make sure your remote wire is all fine and dandy, then make sure the RCA's are firmly inserted into the output on the amp. I've had a few HU's that the RCA really feel like they're in all the way but they're not... I really had to jam it in there to get a connection. That was my alpine HU that was like that.

check your remote wire, and make sure it's not connected to the power antenna wire.

do i have to connect the remote wire? bc the avalon as its own amplifier, what would i have to connect the remote wire of HU to? and i HAVE to use RCAs, bc the toyota doesnt have anything to convert RCAs to regular wire. thanks for the help guys, did i mention that i get sound from the sub at very high volume?
