So, I have finally reached a what I believe to be managable number of options for the front system. I have three main choices with two sleeper options for later if need be. The three main contenders are:
DLS Iridium 6.2i
Hertz MLK165
Morel Elate 6
I think that it don't really matter which two-way system I end up with, what I really feel is a difficult choice, is choosing the amps to go with the speakers. I've talket with DLS shops and Hertz shops, and I feel their suggestions is too expensive, I don't think that amps is that important, even though I believe they can have an influence on sound. The DLS suggested the RA40 but that will only give 4x75W at 4 ohms, and the Hertz guy, suggested the Hertz HP series over the EP series.
I would like to be able to give the woofers +200 clean watts, so maybe 2 separate amps for the front system, would be better, there are few useful 4 channel amps that deliver more than 4x150W? I am seriously considering using a 4 channel amp in bridge mode for the woofers, that will give me more options?
For two separate amps, my present view led me to the following:
Steg QM75.2
Audison SRx 2
Audison LRx 2150
Steg QM75.4
Helix H400 Esprit
So, it is essentially amp suggestions for the three kits above I'm looking for.
Budget, I have to get what it takes to do the kits justice, but I will go as cheap as possible with that in mind.
