What is an awesome pair of 15" subs to put on a PG Tantrum 1200.1 or a Directed 1100d amp since the Audiobahn Immortal Series subs need about 1200 watts each. Or should I get two Tantrum amps...one per(The Immortal Series ones). I've got the space and a huge *** dual sealed enclosure. I just need an awesome pair of 15's because my Audiobahn High Excursion 12's just wont cut it. I need really really low bass but I want my bass clean and really ****ing loud too. Can somebody make me a list of like the top 5 subs. I mean I've gone through like $2500 trying to get the right subs. Xplods to JL WOs to W3s to Type Rs to the Audiobahn aw1200qs I have now which drill but when the bass gets real low they get distorted. Now I've got the power to push a pair of relatively powerful subs. Ive got $1000 to spend and I really need some help here because I want some 15s that will ****in drill. Hitting 150 db would be nice. Oh yeah the sealed enclosure is in an explorer facing to the back 3 inches from the hatch and I know that shit has to knock!

pair of 15", 1000w RMS and hit 150dB? Slightly difficult..

you COULD go for a kickass single 15", which will include e15A, RE XXX, Adire Brahma, which will thrive with 1000w RMS, I'd imagine.

you COULD also get 12" magnum D2's, they're supposed to be friggin loud and clean. They are rated conservatively, so you could get dual D2's and power them with your current 1000w amp for both.

Of course, you can also go for a quad eD K's (known primarily for SQ, but gets louder than a lot in the price range)as well and piss on any single 15" sub(in terms of SPL) mentioned above.

RE SE's are supposed to be very loud, but drops a tad in the SQ dept, their HC's might not be too happy with only 500w RMS going to them.
