Help me with flared ports please!

helps out alot. Plus my 4" aeroports I bought from parts express had the tuning equation included in the packaging

Ok, now a question. Does the material for the ports have to be anything in particular? I have 4" steel tubing at work i can use which would cost me nothing, but would it make noise if its metal instead of plastic?
