Help me select my midbass drivers

I'm in the market for a pair of midbass drivers and I want to gather some opinions on what people are using/have used to help me select.

Of course system info/application info is key so here goes:

Head unit: Alpine ixa-407 w/external imprint module

Front end: AudioFrog GB10 tweets, GB25 mids, GB2510c crossovers

Midbass: ?!

Sub: TC Sounds TC1000 15

Amp: JL HD900/5

Electrical: More than adequate

*Doors fully sound-deadened and custom baffles will be made*

Now, my factory openings are 6x9 and I'm leaning towards 6x9inch woofers(ID xs-69 or maybe something from CDT) because of the extra cone area that 6x9's provide. The other option is a really aggressive 6.75inch like Scan Rev, Exodus Alchemy, Peerless SLS...either way they need to be loud enough and dig deep enough to blend/keep up with the 15inch sub.

Unfortunately 8's are just not really workable with the doors I have so please don't suggest any.

My main goal as always is sound quality. I only have 100rms stereo to work with from the above listed amp. High-pass with be active somewhere around 70hz with a 24db slope, low-pass will either active at 200hz or 500hz at 12db, or passive at whatever freq I feel works best(because I'll just make one) most likely 400hz-ish at 12db. ***Those are my only midbass lowpass crossover options because that's all my equipment will allow and I'm not going to buy anymore outboard processing***

Budget isn't really a factor, but less expensive is always a huge plus.

Anyways thanks for reading all this and I look forward to some suggestions!

You might want to try SI's new TM65. They look very promising and should fit your requirements. IIRC they are suppose to start shipping next week. Suppose to have 9mm xmax (one way) and a good Sd and preety flat up to 2khz. I'm going to be comparing them to my Dyna mw172's to see which go in my van.

The new shallow 6x9 woofers from CDT would work well. At the CDT Dealer Store link in my signature go to Subwoofers, then HD-690CFS. These will play very nicely up to 500 Hz and beyond, so you won't need to run the 2.5" mids down to 200 Hz.
