I have a G35 sedan

I really like it alot

it gets decent MPG, its all in how you drive it.

I dirve mine like the crazy fool on the high way

to get the full expericance you MUST use super, the car says so about 30 times in the manual and on the fuel door.

regular will work but ...you get so so performance

also,if you are on a budget this is not the car for you

parts are pretty expensive and the car mostly recomends higher end stuff

they only thing to look out for is the leaky 6 cylcinder, it is covered by the 7/70,000 mile warranty

other than that Its a great car

the g35x only comes in auto but you can use the tiptronic just like a manual

I would buy a new Altima or the G35x, cost difference is minimal and you get the assurance of a full warranty and knowing it was never beat on. Its a good time to buy New cars, I bought a 08 Tl Type S last week for $8k below sticker.

when you speak reliable, what do you mean?
I mean that the v6 cars will run longer with fewer problems. I did a ton of research on many different cars before buying my mazda, including both the passat and the altima, and I noticed that while combing through the ratings, people who bought the 4-banger versions of cars that had optional v6s were generally the ones with the most problems. And anyone who actually articulated what the problem was usually had an engine problem. So there you go.

well Im giving in my 07 Alti (not for me) and wanted to pick up something reliable with comfort

I wouldn't mind the sonata. My mom had one for a loaner once and it wasn't bad. But there's no comparing it to the g35. That thing's a beast. And gas mileage isn't terrible, 24mpg on the highway. You can get more than that if you regulate your right foot. Gas mileage is all in how you drive.
