I've never tasted one I liked. Always too something. One of my buddies loves them and we've discussed it before but I can't figure out exactly what it is I don't like about them.

See above. Personally, too much wheat or cereal in the flavor kills it for me. Beers like Stella, go straight to my head and make me feel like my head is going to pop. I like it to be bitter but with a lingering taste of dryness. Guiness is my ol' stand by. I can drink that shit by the gallon. Not really by the gallon but you get what I'm saying.

The "hoppy" taste is too much. But I don't drink to sit a mull over the taste. I drink many during a setting. So I drink mostly lighter beers that one can drink consecutively vs. beers where you taste the flavor. Hope that explanation is clear...I started drinking whiskey to help me sleep.

However, there is a drink that's 1/2 Bass and 1/2 Guiness I like quite a bit.

My all time favorite is Red Stripe...however, they say the Jamaican red stripe is better than what we get here.

heard that too, that makes sence to me though, you and joe as far as the pales go... a long time ago when i smoked alot of pot i heard hops were in the same family as cannibus so i tried the hoppy pales, ever since then i have enjoyed them, i get alot of people not liking them because they are so robust and sharp in flavor... that why i'll either have 1 or 2 pales or catch a buzz on something drinkable and then switch to pale and pass out (like i will shortly here...)

great beer discusion fellow beer drinkers, hope theres a denny's close to here for a grand slam in the morning....

It's one of those layered drinks like a bumblebee (Poddington's).

Basically, you pour 1/2 cup of bass and then 1/2 cup of guiness. Because the guiness is heavier, the fluids "invert" which is pretty neat to watch. It's a tasteful drink. I discovered the drink at a bar in Louisville.

Place here in ohio that I just came from actually that has this thing called the "world beer tour" . they have a selection of 170 different beers from all over the world. to complete the tour you have to drink 100 of the 170 during the year. After tonight I'm at 25.

before i joined the tour all i drank was bud light, miller light, anything light basically. sometimes throw a blue moon in there. now after drinking all these beers on the tour, last year i finished the tour, i cant even drink a bud light without wanting to puke. it tastes like water.

I've had it both here and in Jamaica and I can't drink it here.

It is good, but half and half is better.

If you like Blue Moon, try a beer called Shock Top--I found it when I was out on the east coast for work and it became one of my fav's
