Ive herd an RD Classic 12 in 1.3ish cubes and it sounded amazing and its under your budget brand new.
if you can get a brahma 12" or 15" mk4, new for around $200-250,... its def worth it, fs of 25, (low end monsters, srsly).... i got 2 in a 5.5 cf wedge ported to 33hz with 65 in of port, peaks at 27hz with only 600 rms each driver,..... f'n loud tooHoly sh!t, I did not think I would get this many people giving options so soon. I gotta google those subs you guys gave. As far as price the cheaper the better but deff under $300. Ill prob sell my treo to help fund the new sub. I've read great things about id subs but I've yet to hear one. A shop by my place has some though so ill see how they sound as long as they don't have it in some sh!tty prefab bandpass.
6551, How much?

yes, it is too boomy in that application, the box is just a mock up, im dropping size in my enclosure, otherwise my application would call for a few 6.5-8 inch midbass drivers for my 60hz and up fill if i were to stay with that size alignment, i was just giving him an example of what they can do with the power appliedMaybe I don't understand any of this.. but this doesn't sound like a recipe for Sound Quality... I would venture that this would be too boomy. Again.. this is just my interpretation.. is my assumption incorrect? I don't know..
Yea, the DIYMA R12 (oh hey, I have one for sale!). With the box you have and the power you have on tap, it would work really well. The biggest downside is that if you EVER decide that you want to go balls to the wall, you need to be really careful with the cone as it's nearly paper thin aluminum. Thanks for all the posts guys. I'm not ditching my thread but I've got work so ill have to check in later and google more subs.
If anyone has a sub that they want to trade for my treo let me know?
What about those diyma subs I used to hear about all the time? I forget the model # but it was the one with a few small round magnets with a chrome finish......I think the model wa r12 or something simple like that.
My only complaint I saw from the prototype...and that was 3 years ago //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gifyou need to be really careful with the cone as it's nearly paper thin aluminum.
So your saying the mag is what you advise and if I were to get the fiq I would need a bigger amp? I have yet to check the specs for that sub so if I don't hear back from you ill google it when I'm off work.si mag. my dad has one and they are sweeeet. if i was you want to run a q (reccomended! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif ) you'll definitely need more powa.
A member on here that goes by SPY has some top of the line SQ subs for sale right now including 2 versions of the SI Mags. You're thinking of the DIYMA R12. Good subs from what I have read around the internet, although the cone is extremely fragile on it. If you could find a used Mag V4 that is my recommendation.
x2 yup, nice equip. for sureA member on here that goes by SPY has some top of the line SQ subs for sale right now including 2 versions of the SI Mags.
