Help Me Pick an Amp?

When I get paid on Friday I'm buying a new amp, regardless. But before that time gets here I'd like to make sure I'm getting the best for my budget. Right now the amp I'm set on is the Hifonics BRE 1700 - for only $200.

Is there really anything comparable to this for the price? I can go a little bit over this if it's a REALLY good pick.

its a budget performer, cant complain. Can always sell on craigslist easy too. Works as a temp amp.

In that price range, all are typically in the same category of budget overrated amps.

Steve Meade tested the amp and it actually does over rated on dynamic burst rms. His peaked at 1812 rms on one ohm 14v. That video is actually the reason I'm considering this amp.



Wow I just saw that the Kicker CX1200.1 does over rated for sure! For just a little more cash, is it worth it? It can do 1600w on one ohm. I know Kicker amps are most definitely quality, plus it'd pair nicely with my L5's (for now till' they're gone)
