Help me pick an AMP for 1 15" sub 2250 RMS watt

I have a 15 in sub, and i'm in the market for buying an AMP that would suite this sub just perfect

I didnt buy it from that website, this website has the most specs on this sub. i got it from a friend for cheap. but he had a set, so i couldnt get the same amp, he had 3 subs, i have 1.

no....hmmm...maybe the new amp power ratings where they rate 200 watt amps like 2000 ...I had a friend that had to have an Audiobahn Imortal...I guess he liked the flames and such....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif He went to a local shop and had them build a custom box to specs...I think he spent $200 or so on it...anyway to make a long story short he had a Memphis 1000D ...paid the shop to tune his amp to match...so no clipping and a very clean signal...on 1100-1300 watts he fried it within a week...The Audiobahn Imortal was rated for 2000+ watts....

I wouldnt give that sub the full 'rated' power daily. I have seen them launch dust-caps w/ only 1800wrms.

Sh!tty build quality.

But...an IA 20.1 @ 0.5ohm would slam the hell out of that sub.

(And you would have a dam good amp to fall back on when you fry that sub)

I believe his question was what amp should he buy, not what sub he should get. Obviously it will be too much hassle for him to replace his "garbage subwoofer," but for the most part you can make any subwoofer sound well if you pick a quality amplifier (in the right box that is). So clearly, if many of you are saying that the sub cannot handle near what it claims, then just pick a nice amp that will power it without going over.

You didn't specify a price range, but here's some choices between $200-400 (eBay Prices):
