help me pick a spl sub

hey guys right now im running some type r's and a jbl 1200.1 and love them. but i like to mess around with subs and stuff so i am looking for a sub that has great spl, im not replasing my alpines, just trying some stuff out. i was thinking kicker l7 or audiobahn flame Q sub just for some spl.

what do yall think?

You should look into DD, RE or Shocker sub line really good subs for SPL .But out of the audiobahn and kicker i would go with the Kicker im a very big Kicker fan .

my fav at the moment is type s alpine but not a dedicated spl woofer but the mtx rfl if you can afford it but it is noe a music sub and need s around 2000 rms to do anything

Well i wouldnt just completely rule out audiobahn. they do give some high db numbers. if i wanted a good audiobahn spl woofer id go with the ultra excursion. that thing will pound like hell if you port it.

Yeah, just for SPL only Audiobahn aren't that bad. But they sound messy, sloppy, ect. But i guess you already have the SQ setup w/ the type-r's. so maybe a crap sounding audiobahn could/would give you more SPL than the 'bahns.

yea i think im gonna try the audiobahn 15 inch 8Q flame woofer. im not shure yet but i think the 15 l7's would poud like hell too, so im still thinking. i herd that the kicker solo's will give perrty good sq also.
