Should I get the dual 4ohm running it on the alpine mrp m500

That's too expensive...as far as the JL W3 would it fit and how would it sound? I can get them cheap so I considering that.

How would it sound? It would sound inferior to the G5. Look into the G3 if you are already looking at the W3.

Also, you mentioned that someone had told you the W3 wouldn't work in your situation, why are you still hovering around it then??

They thought it was too big, but it indeed is not. I will look into the G5, it doesnt matter if the magnet is very close to the back of the enclosure?

how risky would it be to buy a G5 on craigslist? How can I make sure it hasnt been abused?

To make sure, just don't buy it from there at all. Buy it new from an authorized dealer like Crutchfield if you plan on buying online.

G5 > W6; don't waste time here.
