Help me outfit my 05 Sierra with some tunes

I have an 05 single-cab Sierra WT. Everything is stock. I did have my alternator rebuilt and upgraded less than a year ago. Not sure how many amps it's pushing but it should be a bit more than stock.

I've done quite a few complete car audio installs in the past and used to keep up a bit with hardware. Not so much lately, so i really have no idea what's out there these days. I do enjoy doing a bit of research and getting the best bang for my buck, however getting familiarized again after being away from it for so long seems like quite a daunting task. At the very least i would appreciate any direction or suggestions anyone could give me. My most important request would be clean, clear, and loud components with a decent sub to add a bit of thump. Not really looking to rattle anyone's house windows.

On to what i need...

I already have a set of Focal 165VB's for the doors and a big 3 wiring upgrade kit.

HU: Not even sure exactly what i want/need but i can say that i have no need to play any discs. I'd like some type of interface for my android phone as that will be my main source. FM tuner and remote (this is probably standard these days) would be a plus. Don't think it matters if it's single or double DIN.

Components: No idea what to replace the plates in the rear side panels with so i'm looking for a suggestion on something that will pair well with the 165VB's

Sub & enclosure: I think a single, quality 8" or 10" would be sufficient unless going bigger is worth the extra performance/price. Probably looking for a pre-fab box, don't care if it takes up all the room behind my seats.

Amp: A good 5-ch amp would be great to keep things simpler unless i can get two separately for around the same price as one 5-ch.

I'd like to keep my budget around $800 or less not including installation material/extras. I'm not opposed to buying used. Let me know if my budget is unrealistic (it's never enough) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Also, on sound deadening, etc. I don't plan on keeping this truck for much longer than a year so i don't really want to go crazy completely lining the doors/panels but i wouldn't be opposed to something minimal to increase quality. I appreciate any help.

I'd ditch the prefab and have someone build or design one for you based on the subs you choose. You can get a design for fairly cheap if you're comfortable building it yourself and it will make a heck of a difference. Good luck! I was looking at Dodge 2500s for a while and was gonna do a blow through. Now I'm sticking with my evo //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

look into the pioneer app radio models. I would make sure your phone is compatible(they have a list on there website) but my last two headunits have been pioneer and I like them a lot. A behind the seat enclosure would probably be a pretty basic build if you decided to do it yourself use google and see what others have done for that truck make sure you pay attention to mounting depth for the subs to that will probably be an issue.

The components you have should work and I would just disconnect the rear plates. as far as amps ppi has some of the higher power multi channel amps with good reviews.
