So im in the market for an amp on a budget of $350 max since im probably gonna have to upgrade my electrical system a bit.

So ive decide on 2 SA 8 v3s dv4 gonna wire them down to one ohm. Whats a suitable amp in the 1500+rms range?

Ive been looking into american bass ph4000 and the vfl 4480? Are these still good amps?

Anyone have any other recommendations that fit the bill?

Thing is, i dont kbow if i like the ab amps. I like the price. But never had any hands on experience with one. And i hear mixed reviews about them. Im assuming the bad reviews are from folks with no electrical knowledge and stock electrical systems?

Precision Power and Power Acoustik are brands owned by a car electronics manufacturing company named Epsilon Electronics. Precision Power isn't an automatic win in terms of quality, but the Phantom amplifiers you have probably read about have been very good. Black Ice used to be a solid buy, but they got changed to have false power ratings. The iON amps are good for those who are very tight on space.

A $350 budget could get you a Zapco ST-1350XM II and you'd have money left over for wiring.
