Help me I'm Car audio STUPID

To start off... I did do a few searches with no good outcome. First post... blah blah blah..

I drive an 04 Element DX, I listen to all sorts of stuff... Mostly Metal and hard rock... I obviously own a zune and i want it in my car. This is what i have come up with so far.

Blaupunkt HU MP47 or MP57 (depending on what kind of deal i can get on the 57)

I need the Aux port on the front, I like the color change thing and the Euro tuner (military so god knows where i will be next)

Now, I want more bass (keep in mind i dig metal and double bass is just wicked)

First i thought of getting the Basslink II, What kind of bass does this put out?... i need that Punchy tight bass (again think metal) My other thought is to go with a single mono 10"... Blaupunkt Vw1000 has good ratings... now if i go with that... How much amp will i need? (this is where i am stupid) Crutchfield reccomends at least 70% of the max RMS... is this true, and what would you suggest? could i run it on a single mono 500?

You can, I would suggest atleast 650watts RMS up to 1,000 RMS

here is what i ordered

RECIEVER: Blaupunkt Hamburg MP57 CD Receiver

SUB: Blaupunkt VW1000 10" Component Subwoofer

AMP: Kenwood KAC-9103D 900 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms

Wireing kits included... am i missing anything?

You will enjoy the Blaupunkt Hamburg MP57 receiver. Has very good control over the volume increasing and decreasing it in smaller steps than a lot of head units do. Don't think you will have a problem with this since you're only using an external amp for the subs, but on my system I had to isolate the antenna cable ground from the receiver as I had a nasty ground loop. Has no affect on reception.

For some reason I stay clear from sony and blaupunk they just seem cheap. I did a install in my fathers element ex 2007 and I did a alpine deck he rely loves it. But he also has a ipod.

you'll need an amp wire kit. (rca+speaker wire+fuse holder/fuse+terminal)

knuconcept has the nicest one for cheap. there is cheaper, but quality sucks
