Help me get that bump back in my ride!

So about 7 or 8 years ago I had 2 12" Eclipse Aluminums running off a Rockford Fosgate 1000 watt dual channel amp hooked into an Alpine CDA-9813 deck.

Fast forward to now....

I now own a 2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. I am trying to find some way to put one powerful 12" or two smaller 10's into the car without spending an arm and a leg and having to modify the car. Since I already have the amp, I am good there. I just need a wiring harness to get that all hooked up, which I can easily do myself. But I am in need of a box and subs, as well as an updated deck....and in this day and age, I have no idea what I need or what is good.

Box:

Looking for solutions for a 2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. I have only seen a couple of boxes out there for my vehicle and they are pretty restrictive. i would like to avoid ported boxes. Maybe you know a better place for me to be looking, or can point me in the right direction? I don't want to do a custom box as they tend to get rather expensive.

Wiring harness:

Suggestions? What's a good bang for my buck these days?

What I need out of a new deck:

So my deck feels ancient to me. I can't believe I have an Alpine deck and it doesn't even have a 3.5mm headphone jack...but hey, at least it can read mp3's right? haha. So anyway, what I want out of my deck is simply this: I want to be able to take out all the bass from the midrange speakers. Being able to stream music over bluetooth is a huge perk. 3.5mm input required if no BT. Must be able to read mp3's. USB input a plus, but not required. I don't want to spend a ton on a new deck....I would like to spend about $250 total....but I will spend up to $350. Also, a link to a decent mount for a deck would be awesome, as the last one I got from Custom Sounds was a pos. The bezel would fall off all the time, frustrating and unclassy.

Midrange Speakers:

I would like to replace the factory Ford speakers with something crisper. What's a good value speaker that will be an appropriate upgrade for the price?

What I am looking for out of my subs:

I like my bass. I am a basshead. I listen to A LOT of dubstep. I mainly want my subs back so I can actually listen to this music. I listen to a lot of rock, classic rock, electronica of all forms, etc. Just about anything that isn't country is fine by me. Point being, I need a sub that can reproduce low frequencies, punch hard, stay clean, and sound good. With the boxes I have found, the sub needs to be able to be mounted around a 5in" depth total, can operate in .5 cu ft of enclosed space, with RMS no higher than 850 for a single sub, or 600 for 2. I was looking at possibly a single Alpine SWR-T10, but am a little hesitant with these "slim" subs and how well they actually work....what say you?

And with this setup, would you suggest I get a capacitor?

Thanks for the help!

1st no cap they **** and do more harm than good,q logic makes the only decent prefab box ,you can get those direct from them on okla.as for woofers if you buy used you'll get better ones than new ,wouldn't go to any local shops ,look on the forums, same with a deck.and last how much power are you trying to run [what amp] sealed is ok ,smaller ,but ported will be louder

Sentence structure, can I have it?

amp outputs 500 watts RMS out each channel, and it has 2 channels.

from what i was told years ago, a ported box makes a sloppy sounding sub. is this true?

Most of the guys on here seem to run ported.

Do an internet search and you can spend the next 3 days reading all about the differences between ported and sealed.

I prefer sealed, just because they take less room.

Yea, I don't exactly have much space to work with here either so sealed will probably be my only option.

explorer SPORT TRAC. which means i dont have the explorer cabin, i have a truck bed. Therefore I have to either shallow mount 2 10" behind the back seat, or shallow mount 1 12" under the passenger side rear seat downfired. apparently these are really hard vehicles to put subs in without modifying the rear seat at all.
