Help me find a gaming pc motherboard combo

that looks like some generic piece of shit mobo, i would not recomend it. the ip35 is a great board, has high potential for overclocking and stability. doesnt support SLI but SLI is overated and retarded

*scratch that* xfx meh, the ip35 pwns it..

On that board you linked, it has a worrying "con" that bothers me.

"Cons: None, except flaky support for 4gb of double sided memory. I had tons of blue screens and lockups until I removed 2gb. Smooth sailing after. To be fair to ABIT they do have a KB article on this, which is how I know about it."

so you cant run the 4 gigs of mem I just bought for it ? ghey.

hey guys im trying to put together a computer that i can play games. im not looking to play ay of the newer games. but i have to come up with everything. so any one got some good sites for me. other then newegg, ebay. i need a motherboard and cpu. combo would be good. p4 dual core. or a higher p4 2.8 or higher. thanks

lawl, dude thats 1 review. honestly dont trust that shit either. maybe the guy is a dumb *** and tried mixing different types of ram together. just dont trust the reviews. i have this mobo and i have that same ram and i havent had 1 single problem with it. throw a http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130325 in there too to take gamin to the max w00t my computer plays crysis on very high (dx10) and i can average 30-43 and under heavy combat 26-37.

I was reading up on this MOBO and liked what the reviews were :

trust me, stick with the ip35 pro. its a great mobo, ive got my core 2 E6600 at 3.6ghz orthos and prime stable. my only problem is my power supply can barely support all the shit ive got in my pc but it works with my 8800gt @ 750/1900/2000 and i score in 3dmark 06 15,000 but benchmarks dont mean much compared to real time game play. just trust me on the ip35 pro and even if there is a problem with the ram (which i highly doubt there is) theres a new beta bios that came out a couple weeks ago that has addressed that issue for sure.

RAM : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231122
Mobo : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813127030

CPU : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115017

cant go wrong with this set up, its definately kick ***. may be a little bit more expensive but the performance/price ratio is better
I agree thats a great setup and the ip35 pro is a great board. The DFI mb are awesome but not a lazy mans motherboard. On that one review the guy may not know what he was doing. The only thing that will stop you from running the full 4Gb would be the OS well any 32bit ver. 4Gb isn't needed for gaming 2Gb would be your best bet but do what you want btw the combo you mentioned is junk imo.

lol I hear you man I think this is my last system for awhile they are starting to pile up on me. btw spoon good luck with your system if you ask me I think you will get better info on forums for computers like anandtech tomshardware extremetech slizone the list goes on.. hell you might see the abit ip35 pro review on anandtech i think it has gold editors choice award. anyway good luck just remember a computer is an investment so take your time

had someone mention an AMD setup? piss on amd, they had there lead back in the winchester and venice but as soon as intel bourght the c2d amd is non existant
