Help me find a 4 channel amp that when bridged runs 2 ohm stable

Hello,

Please help me find a 4 channel amp that when bridged runs 2 ohms. I have a JL audio w6 and Polk Audio components. I want to use the first two channels to the speakers and bridge the other two channels and run them to the sub. The sub is a dual 4 ohm subwoofer so I need to find an amp that can run 2 ohm stable.

Sub: 400 wRMS

Speakers: 200 wRMS

Any help is much appreciated. I've been looking and I'm having no luck.

I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure no 4 channel amps support a 2 ohm load when bridged.

That amp looks to big to fit in my car's trunk. What amp do I need to make this work? Amp needs to be around 600 wRMS/4 channel/and power a sub/components.

Unless you can find another one your only choice may be to get a mono and 2ch amp, or get a 5channel

I like the HD900/5 amp by JL but why does it cost so much!

why not run a 4ch and a mono? probably much cheaper, and way easier to match your req'd specs

I don't have that much space in my trunk and if I buy two amps that price is going to be very close.

a 2ch and a mono block is what you need. would be much cheaper. and you have more options.

buying 2 amps will be cheaper than finding a 4 or 5ch that puts down that power at 2 ohms

I found a Kicker 5channel zx700 amp on craigslist listed for $200. What do you guys think about this amp?

This is the current amp by Kicker ZX700.5 (10ZX700.5) not bad on price:$315 original $600

If I purchase two amp for my setup:

-jl audio 500 1v2 for sub $350

-Alpine MRP-M500 for sub $200

-JL XD200/2 for components $235

getting two amps is going to be more expensive.

A 5 channel might be worth it.

some old the old school amps were able to, really the old school stuff is far better then the newer korean and chinease made crap today, its american art.
