find out how much displacement your subs/ports/bracing take up and subtract it from the gross
the only problem with is i have not built the box yet.. this is just how much room i have behind my seat and im trying to see how many cubes it is to determine what subs i can get..

edit- im a noob, as you can probably already see

ok so now i have another question.. i am most likely going to run 12" memphis prs sealed.. should i make a seperate chamer for each? and should i poly fill the box?

If you make it with 3/4 mdf which you should its 3.38 cubes before displacement
I got 3.7x^ft net....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif Maybe my wedge box math is rusty.

I would run 10s ported over 12s sealed myself
yeah, but ported takes alot more time and skill which i dont have at the moment.. i planned on putting in the 12s sealed and then down the road building a ported box...
