Help me decide PLZ!

Currently I'm running a 12" XXX ('05 model) n a snailshell. This is installed n a trunk of a 4th Gen. Maxima. I'm was planning on upgrading to 2 12" Audioque HD3's, they would b recieving roughly 1000w per woofer. Today I was browsing the TC Sounds website and ran across the TC-3000's. I haven't heard the new TC subs, and since they were close to the price of the HD3's, I figured I would get a little help from you guys. A pair of both subs would be in my budget. I listen to lots of rap, so I'll definatly be going ported. I want something more SQL, and can fit about 5^ft after port and driver displacement. I just was reading more about them, and after calling TC Sounds, I found out that they only come n Quad 1ohm config right now. Considering I only have 1 amp (RF20001bd), I would only b able to run a pair of these at a 2ohm load, correct? If I ran the pair @ 2ohms, they would only be receiving 750w per. Am I figuring the ohm load correctly? Now that I realize this...suggest away...

Lookin at your the room u have I would go with a single 15 that 2 12s,Just do a single HD3 15s and that 2000 watts to it,and that should get loud enough

Don't have the height, unless I cut my trunk torsion bars out. Don't really wanna go that route. Plus, I have always had a single sub setup, and want to go dual. When I called AQ, they said I had plenty of room for a dual 12 setup. I love my XXX, but just want something new and louder.

BTW guys...what r used 12" XXX going for now? $300 or so? Just trying to think of a good price when it goes to the classifieds...

you could wire dual tc-3000 @ 0.5 ohms. with box rise you should be fine.

i am going to get the 15'' tc-3000 and run 2 hifonics bxi 1206d to it.

You don't think my amp would go n to protect? RF tech said 0.7 ohms could be done, but they don't recommend it. Running at 1ohm my amp has NEVER got hot to the touch...the cooling system n the power series amps r great. Its benched at 2263@1ohm ...so running it at 0.5ohm (if possible) would be CRAZY! I just don't want to risk it...RF told me $749 shipped to fix it.

TC Sounds doesn't have any recommended enclosure sizes on there website yet. Would 5^ft after displacement suffice? Its gonna be a couple months b4 I buy anything, just don't like to jump n2 anything to quick. Maybe by then TC will b offering a Dual 4ohm version.

Unless I cut the torsion bars for the trunk, underneath the rear deck, then no. Well not rear-firing anyway. I guess u could always up-fire the sub, but probably wouldn't b as loud. I've heard that 4th Gen's r hard to get loud, and from personal experience it seems to b true. My XXX is loud for a single sub setup, but would b much louder n a different car. A 5^ft box can be done pretty easily n the trunk, but its not enough height for a 15".
