Vetts are good 2nd cars....not all that practical if that's all you drive. The Cobra is probably going to have the best bang for your buck performance wise, but the BMW will have the nicer overall build and interior.
by the time I get any one of these, it will be my 5th or 6th car.

I would be one of those people, and AM is biased about many things be it steg or BMWs:rolleyes:

I was merely stating that that guys comment about tires being more expensive for the vette and stang were simply retarded. But as far as you never doing a burnout in your stang, that is just sad man. I can not resist a nice smoky burnout in my grand national.
I don't know, I'm just don't really like beating on my cars like that. don't get me wrong, I also love a huge burnout, just not in my car. I did actually let my friend do a nice one and some donuts in my car though so... He's gonna weld up my exhaust in exchange //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

You'll have 4 other cars at the same time? That's what I meant...
ok gotcha. well then yea, it'd just be one from my list and a more "daily driver" kinda car.

... oh and my family has had one of each, so I'm not as biased as these other people //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
I am unbiased on the matter as well, personally I would like one of each. I am just giving my suggestion.

I just love the sound of a kenne bell and it can go up to 26 psi which is pretty sweet for the price. Plus on the stock motor when you switch over to the kb from the eaton, you will gain 70ish horse on the same boost levels.
The only problem being that you have to change pulleys every time you want to change boost, that along with the much higher parasitic loss or what steered me away from superchargers. I like being able to have a certain amount of boost for the street and pump gas and when it's time to go to the track simply add some race fuel and turn up the boost, not have to worry about changing the pulley and belt. Also the twin turbos will give a good amount higher than 70hp than the eaton and the same boost level. But I will admit I too like the sound of the kenne bells I have installed 4 or 5 for friends, they aren't a bad supercharger just inferior to turbos IMHO. On a side note my buddy had a 04 terminator that I installed a kenne bell on and ran it against my grand national. Was one of the best races I've had was neck and neck until we shut down I might have had a bumper or 3 on him but I consider it too close to call.

I also agree that Mustang will be cheapest for dollar per horsepower. But the M3 has the best appearence and build, I think we all stand clear on that.
No argument from me on that point.

I prefer burnouts to donuts, sure I love being sideways but donuts are way too fast in the GN I've made myself sick before, actually haven't done any since.

I wasn't talking about you Dave.....but since you called me out in a forum I must defend my manhood and call you a jerk //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

To MOFO, I'd for sure strike the non-z06 vette from the list.... with that car you only get downsides..... barely enough power to compete with the other cars on the list, crap interior, not-so-great handeling, etc. The z06 is so far past the regular vette it's not even funny.

if I ended up getting the cobra and getting the kenne bell, I would probably just get a low boost pulley and belt for the street or whatever, and get a high boost and belt for the track. But it will be another decision, that I will probably have to have someones opinion on either way. Right now, if I keep the 5.0, I'm stuck between several different options, twin turbo, single turbo, kenne bell, or some kind of centrifugal supercharger. I'm kind of indecisive lol. I'll probably end up changing my mind several times before the time I'm ready to buy the stuff anyway.

I actually like the donuts better if I'm in the car. My friend has an awd talon turbo with around 380hp and the cyclones in that car are just ridiculous.

the reason the vette coupe was on there is because I just like the looks of it better than the z06. As of right now, I'm not the biggest fan of the "hardtop" I think the sloping coupe hatchback just looks a lot... "sportier" i guess.

I was just making sure, no harm intended. But anyway I agree the regular vette doesn't belong in the pack.

asshole

See that's what I hate it's enough of a pain prepping for the track without having to worry about changing the pulley and belt and worry about getting the right tension. (trust me I've done it enough for friends)

I can imagine that would be pretty nutty.

Yea I understand what you're saying. Like I said in my other post, I'm pretty indecisive, I'm liking the idea of a kb cobra right now, but in a couple weeks I could be liking the turbo cobra better.

IMO I'd stay away from all used "high performance" cars or w/e you want to call them. Chances are the owner before you drove the living hell out of it. Eh, just an opinion. I'd pick the Vette Coupe if I had to. Every BMW owner I've spoken to said that maintenance issues are inevitable and you need some extra cash to own a BMW =P.
