with the experience i have had with code, and directed.. i belive that you put a directed in the right way. and do a nice install.. its there for life.. just have to replace transmitter batts every so often. i love directed products..
code.. never really liked them so mutch... we used to install them in sear's and DHL vans ( up to 50 vans a night ) so i know them like the back of my hand. and had few problems with them.. but they just never tickled my fancy..
now i have yet to install or play with anything compustar... so im at a loss of words about them...
The one u listed doesn't say it is an sst. The sst units will have the most range. I tested my pro ss tonight and it gave me .5 mile range. your results might vary.
I've got a viper and I love it, however I don't really think it gets the FULL 1 mile range it's supposed to. I could be like 10 feet away, hit the button and it won't arm it but then I hit it again and it does...I believe mine is the 5900 model?
If the god thing is for me I don't know why. Im just telling what i know about my compustar pro's range. I've never had a dei piece so i cant really comment on those, but everyone that i know that has a 2 way alarm that claims a mile never gets a full mile. If you do thunderbird then lucky you. Not denying what you say.
I've got the Compustar Pro, and it works very well, nice range on it, but definately not a mile. I haven't seen any alarm that would actually do a mile range either.
