Help Me Choose a Sub!!

So i current run two JL W6's love the sound but they cant handle the power i have.

I have looked into the Boston G5, Polk Audio SR, FI Q and SSA Icon. Im looking for a SQ setup that can get plenty loud, and that can take 700 or so rms...

can some one throw some opinions out there or experiences?

I'd go with 2 12" hertz mille ml 3000's. I have a friend who can get them for $499 each. They retail for over $900.

13 w6's. I'm pretty sure habdle 750 watts rms.

i only have room for 12's, since the G5 is 900 peak does that mean it can take 700 RMS?

Not sure, sometimes rms handleing is half of peak. I'd go with fi, if budget wasn't a concern I'd go with the hertz for sq. But the fi q should get loud as hell. Do u want the link to the fi q?

get two mmats pro audio p3.0 or dd audio 2500s both can take 750 rms.

There is a gain knob for a reason... You don't have to get rid of the w6's if you don't want to, just lower your gain accordingly.. What size w6's do you have? and are they v2?

My gain is low, it just my amp is very strong.

hey, you said you're amp is pushing 750 rms right? if you have 2 w6's which rms power rating is 400 watts you are actually under powering 2 of them. maby what your hearing is distortion? maby you should try to re-tune you're setup b4 spending an ish load of more $$$

The FI Q should get loud and sound good while doing it. You can find them pretty dammn cheap online to

Hey, you said your amp is pushing 750 rms right? If you have 2 w6v2's which rms power rating is 400 watts, you are actually under powering them. Maybe what you're hearing is distortion? Maybe you should try to re-tune your setup b4 spending an ish load more $$$

What model sub do u have & what is this "very strong" amp? And why do you feel they're under powered?

he never said his amp is 750 per channel and if he's got two of them like he said he does than by your logic he is for sure under powering them! whatever though, let him clear it up.

Whaa...my logic? I was agreeing w/ your previous post...so wouldn't it be YOUR logic? And where did I state his amp did 750 per channel (I believe I asked what amp he had)?
