Help me choose a better sub....

I now have an Arc Audio 10D4. I am looking for a better 10" sub. It has to be under 7.5" in depth to fit in my stealth box. My priority is SQ, but I want enough spl and slam. I am powering the Arc with a 500/1 amp.

Would a 10W6V2 or IDQ10v3 be an improvement or should I just stay with the Arc Audio?

I would say either sub would work if you are replacing the Arc.

IMO the JL and ID are better than the ARC. That JL is gonna get loud with 500w going into it. As for the ID you need to turn the gain down a bit. BOTH are good subs.

The IDQ should sound better, but the W6 is a pretty good sounding sub too. IMO that Arc sub is a pretty good sub too. I'm pretty sure ID actually designed that sub for Arc, but they don't talk about it.

Which version of the IDQ would the ARC be equivalent of....V2, V3?

I have the IDQ 12 v3 and my friend has a pair of JL 10w6. Personally the JL gets louder but I think the ID sounds sweeter. I'm basing that on an IASCA test CD and lots of jazz and blues.

Take it for what it's worth. I think the IDQ is worth the money. VERY happy with this sub.

tried them all W6 are louder but they SLOPPY sometime, IDQv.3 kill them in SQ for sure, i have a Arc ks 1000.1 with 2 12 IDQv.3 in seal box they sound PERFECT.

JL are nice, but expensive.

i have w6. they are good subs.
