Help me buy a jl 1000/1 AMP

Its a good amp, in fact its a great amp. You get great quality, some of the best eq/crossover features, and 1000w @ 1.5-4ohms. It IS expensive, but you get things some amps dont offer.

The JL prices will always be the argument, but if all you want is all-out-power, then there is better options.

Also check out the PDX 1000.1

if i didnt just get my system done id offer you mine.

no worries about warranty since it was bought from a JL dealer.

for the right price i would consider it.

Well, if the seller is willing to help that would work I guess.

The ULs really came to life with the 3000D. They pretty much do everything all my other setups were lacking. Now, Im pretty satisfied, they get loud and sound awesome. Now, I really need to add some more batts. but I rarely push them that hard!

how long is the JL warranty on their amps?? 1 year i thought... thats nothing. So for the money you can save buying online for 600 or 700 is way worth it in my opinion. Unless its a lemon I have never had a problem with any amp in only one year. Plus some of the online places give you their own 1 year warranty. Please someone tell me what is so great about buying authorized???????

well see i dont mind spending the money on JL

plus the good part about spending extra on JL is teh resell value

I can sell the amp whenever i want for 100$ less or w.e i know i will have buyers right ?

I used to have a memphis amp hell i couldnt even sell it for half the price i paid for it..

with JL i know it wont happen as long as I baby it and keep it mint I will always get most of my money i paid for........

JL is the ferrari of amps

so when you compare its teh same as comparing a honda civic boosted doing 500hp to a real ferrari the civic might even be faster if it has a big enough turbo

but its still just not the same as a real ferrari

same thing with this amp no one would want to buy a beat up civic with some engine work yet a ferrari would keep its value nicely..

unless you can help me think of a 1000rms amp that is cheaper yet whenever i decide to sell it i wont lose half of money as fast.

yeah wow!! that statement was amazing

I think JL amps are worth it.

Not many amps can consistantly put out 1000rms at 11.5v-16v and drive that much wattage from 1.5-4 ohms. That in itself is pretty cool.

They are usually a bit underrrated.

And for the people who say you can get a 2500.1, sundown,etc. Of course you can get whatever but the guy is looking for an amp that does 1000rms not 2K+

I hate when people do that. Its like asking if 16ga wire will be ok to 500rms subs

someone will ALWAYS say "im running 8ga to my subs LOL" 16ga wire can easily handle the current.

Well if you are dead set on getting a 1000/1, I would say spend the extra money and get it from an authorized dealer just in case anything does go wrong. Most of those online are cheaper b/c they remove the serial numbers and JL wont even look at it if you send it for repair.

If you can find one, I say look into the Phoenix Gold Xenon 1200.1....IF YOU CAN FIND ONE.
