Help me build my system...

Hey all,

New member here. I just purchased a '97 Integra LS. I mostly bought it as a daily driver/commuter car but I'd like to have some fun with it too.

To give you all some background, I have been interested in home audio for a long time and my home system is a B&W, Velodyne speaker setup powered by a Denon receiver.

I don't like the stock system in the car and would like to purchase a new head unit and speakers for the car so my commute is a little bit better on the ears .

I need it to be able to take an input from my ipod (are there any HUs that have a dock input and does this increase SQ in a car?) and im not sure if I can afford it but I'd like to also have flip up navigation.

I listen to mostly alternative and some rap. I like to have a little bump but I dont want anything obnoxious. Overall, I am more concerned with sound quality than cracking the pavement at the moment.

Anyways, any help would be really useful and I would like to spend less than $700.

get a alpine type r for the sub(s) cheap, good SQ, and get pretty loud
