HELP: MD2D and XXX disaster!!!!

Man its just that amp series, I had a Md2, had same noise problems like CbFryman, sent the amp in, get it back, hooked it up, and it had the same problem, plus it smoked the second time and made my truck stink for months.

Thats weird, never heard of any of these problems with these amps before. I have one and have never had any problems what so ever, in fact imo its the best amplifier I have ever owned, very efficient and pumps out all kinds of power. Good luck with this though man, I hope you get it working.

Yeah it should power up then, your sure your remote is getting power? If it is then that amp is doa.

yep, I posted a pic testing the remote - gettin 12v, plus the remote wire uses a jumper to the 700S which is working.

what does the box feel like? the old box has like a matte kind of feeling. the newer box has a smooth glossy feeling/look

I have a MD2 and a MD3...had zero problems with each. Had a MD22 short out by hitting the prong from a DMM to the case.

I hate that US AMPS keeps having these problems. I know I contributed to mine, but I am beginning to wonder if another amp wouldn't have died from that.

Either way, I am pretty sure Jeremy would take care of it. He made me a pretty good deal after I blew mine and I will get another MD22. It is just one of those things sometimes....

He was the first person that I talked to at USamps that gave good service. Jeremy is great...but USamps is tedering on my Fuck'm list. My MD2D had horrendous noise problems It is on it's way to Cali right now and gets there Wednesday. Hopefully it will be fixed.

Well, I talked to Greg over email and he didn't have any answers only that for me to call the 800 number and get an RA# and he will personally look at it. At this point it's just too unbelieveable that they would send me a DEAD amp back and is repairing an amp over an over again my best option here. I would think they would consider replacing it since this is the second time! Well, we will see whhat happens, I asked to speak to a amanger as well.

Good luck on this. I'm pretty shocked to see that you received a "repaired" amp and this is what happens from it.
