HELP: MD2D and XXX disaster!!!!

Man, you got no luck with amps lately?

first your soundstream vga goes out, 2 of them and now the US amp MD2d goes out.

But your old soundstream 700s is doing good, so it seems its not your wiring fault but rather bad amps lucks. Get you multi meter out and start measuring whats going where, looks good is not same as measurement voltag, groud, fuse, loose connection. Then get your money back on the amp or send it for warranty work.

It's defintely wired in series, I triple checked that.
but the diagram is Parallel:crap:

it might be stray frays. Did you cut the wire NEAR the amp?? Don't if you did...small fragments of wire can fall into the amp and cause short circuits.

I know, I already addressed this, I meant didn't wire it in series. There were no stray wires from what I could tell. I'm gonna take some pics tonight. Then get to work on disassembling my trunk, yet again.

Dude, tell me about it. Sucks. I tested all wires with a DMM, power, remote, ground, all getting 14 volts.

Unreal, I got this amp back from US amps and it seems like it is DOA!!!!!

I originally sent it to them because it blew up the first time I installed it now this....

I finally had the time to install everything today, the problem is I have a custom trunk and it's a pain in the a$$. I didn't even think of testing the amp before hand. So my and my friend get it all in, make everything look pretty and then, the unthinkable happens......nothing!

My 700S comes on and is working perfectly but no sound from my sub!! The power light nor the protect light came on the MD2D. all fuses are good. Then we tested the power and the remote and they were good 14 and 12 volts!

What else can I test? Is it really possible that they sent me a Dead amp? Surely they would have tested it before they shipped it out. I'm furious!!!! Not only because I still haven't had bass or because I haven't heard the MD2D perform but because ripping my trunk apart everytime and putting it back together is BS!!!!

flakko - please get incontact with me, if possible I would like to talk to the tech who worked on/fixed my amp. Thanks!

Yeah, I have no doubt in Jeremy....at this point, I'm just getting pissed at the company. I'd like to speak to someone over there. It takes alot of time to rip my trunk apart then put it back together again.

you sure you got a + and a neg to the sub on the speaker wire? i did + + once and ...nothing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
