Der..... Doncha know it's cuz it's a larger sub and larger cones move slower. That is why it hits so late 
I assume it's a 15. Smaller box and lower tuning would help. I think everyone is missing the point. Maybe your midbasses are not hitting low enough. Try lowering the hpf. Did you prepare your doors well enough? Are there any air leaks? Is the midbass mounted with no leaks behind the mounting ring?
Leaving an audible gap between the midbass and subwoofer will make the sub sound sloppy. Also turn down the sub level to nothing. Get your midbasses to play as low as possible. Keep raisong the sub level until it blends in with your midbasses and doesn't overpower them. If then the sub isn't loud enough, then you need to improve your midbass.
