anyone knowledgeable would like to help me make a SET work out plan for three days a week.

mainly to lose weight in the stomach, side, chest, and lose fat in general.

the key word is fat...

i do not care about really how much i weigh i just care how much of it is fat i would like to ultimately replace my fat mass with muscle.

als o i know there are many threads out there about this stuff but they are so long it would be hard to keep track of info said retaining my workout and my specialized set outcome.

feel free to ask questions but here are some general info:

age 18

height:5,10

weight:310

i do not eat healthy but are going to start.

i do not drink enough water but going to start and cut out sodas and stuff..

the only way i think i can pull this off is if i have like a set workout to to do everyday and reps and numbers and times.

This is a letter from your ol' pal, belly fat. We had a great run this summer, didn't we? Lots of good times, great food, and plain ol' sitting around eating too much.

Well, I'm thinking about sticking around another year if you don't mind. But you might need to get a bigger pair of pants, as I was thinking about expanding my place down here.

So do me a favor, avoid that interval training you were thinking of doing. The last time you did that stuff, I nearly had to look for a new place to live. I felt like the Wicked Witch of the West in the land of Oz. Did you hear me yelling, "Help me, I'm melting!"?

Instead, stick to that slow cardio stuff. Sure I get a little sweaty, and the ol' brain up there thinks it's doing "a real fat burning workout", but it's never enough to melt me outta here.

Another thing, keep listening to those experts who say strength training doesn't burn body fat. Since research shows they're wrong, if you added strength training to your program, you'd practically need to throw me a going away party!

After each one of those superset workouts you tried last January it felt like someone lit a match under our collective butt. I was burning up down here!

But boy oh boy, I sure was glad you gave that up and went back to just lifting utensils and not dumbells. Otherwise we wouldn't have been able to celebrate another summer together this year.

Sometimes I wonder, what did you ever do in college without me, your trusted belly fat? Back then, you were probably one of those people that couldn't wait to get to the beach to show off your body, not like these days.

Nope, stay in the shade and keep the cover-up clothes on, that's the way to go now. Besides, its a lot closer to the cold beer and the BBQ when you're sitting in the shade avoiding all the fun down on the beach.

Well, it sure was good catching up with you. I'm sure we'll be in touch more often, as long as you stay away from that Turbulence Training workout routine.

Brings a tear to my eye whenever I even think about that workout program and all the belly fat it's burned. Heck, it's fried more belly fat than a frying pan.

So again, if you want to keep your dear old belly around for another year and another summer, don't use Turbulence Training - otherwise, its all over pal, and you'll never see me again.

Your friend and spare tire,

Belly Fat

PS - Seriously, don't go near that Turbulence Training program unless you want to see me, Thunder Thighs, Manboobs, Jigg Lee Arm Fat, and Luv Handles pack our bags and hit the highway.

It will be a sad farewell, and you'd be stuck with ripped abs, gorgeous glutes, and toned arms, and you know how much attention those guys get from the opposite ***. Who needs it, I say.

i think a big part of it is my eating because over the summer and till recently i was geting exercise in the drum and bugle corp i was in. 12 hour practices marching and carrying around 30 pounds of metal at 178 bpms was somewhat exercise.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

but i ate like shit so it did not matter how much i excercised

to lose fat...cardio cardio cardio...

im 20 now, i gained 40 pounds in a year or so, i was at 210 great shape, could run 5 miles no prob but now im 250 and my heart rate jumps to 180 when i jog around the block...but thats what im doing...

your best bet honestly is cardio, start slow but each week you should be able to add distance to whatever you are doing (running, walking, biking, swimming)

also, i have a friend who was a wide receiver for OU, he said his coaches would have them do core workouts such as pilates...i was doing someof this and i have never been that sore in my abs and obliques...seriously. get down to say 230-240 and then start adding a lot of weight into your routine. for now, cardio and core muscles as much as you can...

as i have noticed since i started to fix everything, the gut comes last...my arms and legs get toned but my gut is still there....

one more thing...my problem..i eat late, and i was eating fast food..so when i eat dinner at 9 from chicken express and then i would eat some more around midnight, and i got fat...

your diet carries as much importance as cardio...get rid of the white stuff..rice, potatoes, white bread..its all starches and those are stored as fat..you don't need it...

eat grilled not breaded chicken, fish, veggies and fruit...

start eating peanuts for snacks, not gold fish, or chips or candy..and get rid of cokes, im riding the fence on the diet ones but all together, you just dont need them...

i know you were referring to a 3 day workout a week. but honestly. its a lifestyle change, and those three days are going to play an important role but its going to be the other 4 that really dictate how the others effect you...so eat right...

remember. as rough as it sounds, and as discouraging as it can be, a safe weight loss goal is roughly 2-4 pounds a week, but you would be surprised (if you can stick it out) what 2 months looks like...

i saw the dr the other day and my blood pressure was borderline going on medicine...I'M 20 YRS OLD!!!! i told him i had replaced my sodas with gatorade, he said if its not the G2 then its a waste, its all sugar, so be careful what you replace your sodas with, you may not be doing any good...

ps. celery and peanut butter is a good snack, its filling, or celery and some low fat bleu cheese dressing or ranch...
