Help.. Installed new amp

Alright I gotta get a tool to loosen the seatbelt bolt that goes direct to the floor of the truck...the amp doesn't have an inline fuse just the ones inside of it..I do have a inline fuse on the power wire at the battery. I want to make a better ground just can't get wire to the chasis. Should I just run a line back to the battey? Thanks for all the advice guys time is a premium with 3 kids and all your suggestions make the process to root out the problem faster.

Yes a ground right to your batt would be the best

Okay changed the ground i am using 2 grounds now on the back wall i can find anywhere on the floor with a bolt and i dont know what to use to pierce steel? the seatbelt bolts are really on there may need some beefier tools. I still have the static pop on start up..I used a jumper from the power to remote an noticed it didn't have the static pop on that turn on, could my loc pac unit be going bad or did I get a bad amp?

Its connected to the remote that comes off the pac unit I then twisted the leads for my other amp and crossover and mids amp to it also could that be the problem I have a bosch relay I just haven't put it in

Well I just did some searching and found the whole test with taking out the rca's from the source and turning the truck on and I didn't get a thump, or noise so it's not the amp, I just switched the highs amp to its on ground on the wall of my cab still got some static maybe it's my pac oem device?

are you running a stock head unit that came with your truck? and added a pac convertor box to make rcas? if so is the remote wire from your amp running into that pac box? because i had a similar problem and ended up splicing the remote wire into my ignition wire because i got a pop from the subs and when i turned my volume up too high my amp would cut off. fixed the problem.

Nice wil try this tonight I have a relay I may try fingers crossed this works hate to exchange a perfectly good amp

Ok going to run a new remote today but idk if its going to help...I hage noticed that if the radio is at a lower volume under 3 bars that there is no audible pop what's so ever but if the radio is over 3 bars I get a proportionally higher pop are static hiss and pop...what does that mean is the new amp defective? ?? Please let me know I would rather not throw in another remote wire just for the fun of it
