ok i have 93 honda accord the stock stereo stoped working about a year ago. its just a beater car so i did with out. but as of lately i came in to some money so i decided to put a head unit in it.

Heres the problem the old unit when i plug it in it will make some clicking noise from the tape deck but i wil not come on or make any kind of noise after that initial plug in. so i assume it has power?

The new unit will do the same thing when i plug it in i will here the cd player making noise but it wil not power up?

Iv only found one power line should it have more? any kind of schematics will help. I know im a noob please take it easy on me. im just trying get some help

Your new headunit will have two separate power wires that both need to be connected properly for the unit to work.

The red wire needs to be connected to switched power (a circuit that only has power when the ignition is keyed on) so that the unit will go on and off with the key.

The yellow wire needs to be connected to constant power (a circuit that has power continuously regardless of the position of the ignition) to retain your EQ settings, clock, radio presets, etc.

I'm not that familiar with Honda's wiring so I couldn't tell you what color the wire will be but there should be wires for both in the factory harness.
