I understand Cars very well, but Amps/Subs confuse me-
I am installing an Infinity Kappa 5 Amp (because it's Bluetooth and I'm not running a Head Unit), and am installing 2-Infinity Basslink SM's (because I have no space-these are going under my front Seat)-
Here is the Kappa 5 (Owner's Manual in Link): https://www.crutchfield.com/S-JXSRVtsp7q3/p_108K5/Infinity-Kappa-K5.html?XVINQ=DST&XVVER=G04&awcp=1t1&awcr=164108351022&awdv=c&awkw=_inurl%3A_custom_label%3A140&awmt=b&awnw=g&awug=9029196
Here is the Basslink SM (the Owner's Manual is in the Link): https://www.crutchfield.com/S-1eySdg8QP1o/p_108BASSLSM/Infinity-BassLink-SM.html
This is going in a Street Rod, and space is at a premium (i have bought both 10" and 12" Subs-they will NOT fit, so the SM's will have to do), and I don't want a head unit showing (I'm going Ipod, hence the reason for the Kappa 5)-
So, with that said, my confusion comes in many forms, but, at this point, it has to do with hooking the powered Subs to my Amp-the Basslink SM's come with both RCA jacks (are these "line level" inputs?) and "Speaker Level" inputs (which appear to be non-RCA)-
So, I don't know which one to use, as the Amp wiring is non-RCA (but I have some of those screw-on RCA Jacks)-do I use those,or, hook up to the "Speaker Level" inputs?
If it is the RCA Jacks, can I use a "Y" splitter to hook up to the two Basslink SM's? (as the Kappa 5 is a 5 channel Amp)? I know this is simple, basic Wiring 101 for most of you, but it makes no sense to me-
If I have to use the "line Level" inputs, is there a good way to split the signal?
Can someone help this lost soul? Thank you for your input!
