Head unit installation help? (completely new to car audio)

I got a Kenwood KDC-BT645u from a friend.

I'm trying to install it for my sister into her 1996 Honda Accord. I've never worked with car audio before so I have some questions. I already bought a stereo installation kit from Amazon to put the head unit in with.

From what I understand I need a wiring harness that plugs into the back of the head unit (I'm not sure if it's supposed to come with one but all I have is the head unit, no harness), and one that plugs into the wiring harness that is currently in the car. Then I need to strip the wires from both harnesses and crimp them together. Is this correct?

Which harnesses do I need?

I found a harness on Amazon that connects to the cars current harness (titled "Stereo Wire Harness Honda Accord 94 95 96 97 (car radio wiring installation parts)")

But I couldn't seem to find one that would plug into the back of the head unit.

Are there any stores that would carry both of these harnesses?

Also, any tips you have about this installation would be helpful.

Thank you!

I would recomend calling Kenwood and seeing what it would cost to get one from them, which will more thank likely be too much but worth finding out because in conversation you can ask what the part number is, then look it up on ebay.

Y is that stupid why be sold something that is not complete Espeacially to someone who is new to this why be sold something with out a power cord but then if he told u it was missing that part u should have thought twice about buying it if u payed more than 20$ for the hu waste of money in my op

OP you are on the right track.

If I remember right 96ish accords are pretty easy to work on.

Should be jamming pretty soon.

Also, if you dont have a step by step installation guide.

Call crutchfield and order the wiring harness from there. It might cost more than amazon but they provide a VERY detailed installation guide.

The customer service is top notch also

Just get a Dmm an identify each wire shouldn't take more than 20 min pop off door panels and check speaker wiring to identify front and rear speakers left and right ex...... Rather than buying two u can just spend money on one harness which would be the one that plugs into the radio

Because it's stupid. Why can't you form complete sentences? I'm having a hard time understanding your speak Because you randomly capitalize words in sentences thats dumb i dont understand why do you know why thats so dumb your posts are a waste of space in my op because you cant type out rl wrdz ue no

He got the head unit from his friend, meaning there was a hand to hand transaction that took place. Most of the head units sold on this site don't have the harnesses. I've sold head units without harnesses. They're like $10, shipped to your door.
