Help hooking up sub amp

I got a sub amp and box for free from a buddy (the amp being a crossfire tek 50.2) and I need some help hooking it into my car. So far I have successfully been able to hook up a head unit with a speaker amp using a harness on my own, but I am stuck on this. I ran the RCA connections all the way back no problem along with the power line and REM cable. My only problem now is that I can't get the "power" light to actually come on. I know the AMP works but I am thinking that it isn't getting the signal to turn on correctly. Can someone please help me find out how to correctly hook up the wires for my headunit? I think I may have messed up somewhere.

Links below due to limitation on links per post.

Thanks in advance.

Is your amp even grounded? Your connections should be Power (12v+) to the battery (+), then ground wire to the chassis, remote wire to head unit, and RCA's cables to the head unit. It might simply be that your remote wire isn't getting power from the head unit. Did you connect it to the right wire on the head unit? Can you take pictures of the wiring?

Ya, I can and will post them later this evening as I am not with my car right now. And, yes I have grounded it out and even got it to spark but to no avail as to power lights or any sound flowing through it. I have been trying to get links to the parts used put up but the stupid filter doesn't allow me to so here are the names:

4-ch amp: Alpine - Power Pack 180W Class D Bridgeable Multichannel Amplifier with High-Pass Filter - KTP-445U

harness used: Metra - Turbo Wire Aftermarket Radio Wire Harness Adapter for Select Vehicles - 70-1721

head unit: Sony - 52W x 4 Satellite Radio-Ready In-Dash CD Deck with MP3 Playback - CDXGT360MP

wiring used: Kicker - D-Series Amplifier Installation Kit - 09DPK8

I thought it was that wire also so I connected the REM port to the 12v connection to see if that helped but again to no avail. I have the actual REM connected to the blue wire from the head unit and blue from the 4-Ch amp.
