L7's or L5's?, I dont think either will put out enough,but I would take the SS over the hifonics

L7's dual 4 ohm... I'm on little bit of a budget but at the same time I dont want to considerably over/under power them

They rms at 750 right? so u need about 2250 watts, bout the best thing u can for ur price range(just about the for money or not) is to find a refurbished Orion 2500d from Ikesound.com for about 355 or go on ebay at get the WCC edition orion 2500d for about 450, which seems to be right in ur price range

you're sittin' at .6667 ohms before impedence rise... which of the two will go lower, without lookin', I'm picking SS.

my hifonics bx2005d was fine with it run under 1 ohm...im sure with imped rise ull be fine..
