Ok, so I just replaced my existed powers wires, ground and such. I went to pep-boys and bought a budget amp it 4-AWG. It comes with only a 60-amp fuse and supposedly powers up to 1000 watts. I am running one 12L7 and a Kicker 06ZX850.2 Sub amp. Everything runs great, til I crank my system up and the fuse blows. Now I am 99% sure that all I have to do is to get a 150Amp ANL Fuse Holder and change out the holders to fix this problem. Is that ok to do?....without like starting a fire or some shit. Just checking people.-----

Length of run (in feet)

if that the total amps of ur amps then yea. but i its just one amp like the one said 1000 watt then ur amps for that amp should be around 79 to 80 amps. depending on the length u need of the wire that what determines the gauge for best flow.

Well I need to cut the power wire shorter, cause I just through all 17 feet in my trunk and wired up, but my factory battery is in the trunk so I only need about 9 feet. So what should I do....I am powering one amp Kicker 06ZX850.2 bridged in 4 ohm to a Kicker 12L7
