Having an issue with a JL amp where the alan was backed out to far and doesnt want to thread back in //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif. I cant get it all the way out and I cant get it back in. What can I do to fix this? The only thing I could think of was to drill out the alan screw and retap it for another one. Thx for any advice!

tap it with a hammer?

You cross threaded it? Use all your strength to pull it out and retap the hole.
I bought the amp already like this. I think whoever removed the amplifier backed out the alan lug to far and this is what caused the thread to get jacked up. I think these are the kind that you dont remove they just stop to let you know to stop.. someone probably used a power drill on it. I can't get it out.. I pushed it to the point that it finally stripped so the alan is useless.
