So i got this little rockford amp, its supposed to have a crossover on the inside, the xcard if you have seen these older amps. I havent heard of them before i got this one. But either way i put the x card it does not seem to change any crossover points. Whether i try to do low pass, it doesnt seem to change, neither does the high pass.

Anyone got any idea why its not working? I would assume the low pass would be set low enough to play some subs on it, or not?? Cuz if i put it on LP it still has quite a bit of voice coming out of it..

On the back of the amp it tells you how to place it and stuff, and on the card you put it one way for HP and other for LP, it has the markings on it.

I had the 4 channel version of that particular amplifier. It was one of the biggest pieces of shіt I ever owned produced by Rockford Fosgate. Prior to that, the other amp that I hated was the Punch 30 HD. Regardless, both of those particular amplifiers spent more time at Rockford Fosgate than they did in my vehicles and I ended up giving them to family. Oddly, they ended up having the same problems, and both amplifiers ended up in the trash after the warranties were up.

ETA: As for your issue, someone could have modified the cards. I may still have a manual around here, but IIRC the resistors could be changed to up the values for HP and LP.

There is only one card i got, one side LP and other HP, and it looks to be unmodified.. I guess if theyre pretty shitty im not even going to worry about it.

Mine kept having noise issues. The shop would send it back to RF, it would come back, work for a little while, then the oscillating noise would start over again a few weeks later. It would again come out, go to RF for repair, go back in the car, work fine for about a week, then start over again.

The oscillating noise would happen whether the vehicle was running or not and could even be heard on the shop's test bench, so it wasn't install related.

Thats weird. Everything on mine seems to work fine minus the crossover. Have not heard any noise. Its a small amp so im not too worried about it but it would be nice to have the LP on it to mess with some smaller subs i have.
