help fix laptop screen, computer guys!!!

I know its off topic but i use this laptop for my TL so i guess its on topic //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Anyways sometimes when i boot up the laptop my screen has many colors than when it goes to the screen with all the icons on it its really fuzzy and its startin to get on my nerves. But sometimes i boot it up and the screen works great with no problems, what is the problem. Sometimes i have to close the screen down and lift it up and shake it awhile, turn the laptop off and on before it starts working. Can someone please help me fix this.

Could be a loose cable. Check that, if that doesn't work, buying another screen is your only option.

Try what he ^^^said. And if that doesnt work , buy another screen. Unless its under warranty.

maybe its dusty in there? get some of that keyboard cleaner stuff

left it in the sun or in the car much? heat/sunlight will kill lcds

could be a bulb, prolly a loose wire. open it up and spray the hell out of it with an air duster. if it's none of these problems than the crystals/wiring/lcd is physically damaged.

like right now its working fine no problems but sometimes when i turn it off and restart it starts the many colors when booting up and than turns into a fuzzy screen.

buying a new screen for any lap top is hella money so if its under warenty that would be cool. if not check the wires...

yeah its an older gateway solo ill have to take it apart and see if the wires are loose what a pain in the rear. Thanks

sounds like the ribbon/wire cable going to your screen is starting to wear out.

it happend to my older gateway to a while back.

its probably just because of how old that laptop is.
