If you use a program it will sound like crap

When they chop and screw songs the vocals and the beat are done seperatly.

Fruity Loops ftw... Thats probably what program alot of the producers use to chop and screw since they use it for everything else.

Acid Pro 5.0 would be a good choice too.

A lot of studios use protools, cause you can work with both digital and analog tracks, while using external realtime effects processors at the same time.

Plus it supports lisence dongles, so you can have it at the studio, and install it on more computers at home or wherever to work on projects away from the studio with the same lisence.
