help finding a printer

i need to find a really good printer that i can get for under 200$. the thing i want to stress most is picture qaulity. id like to be able to print pictures that look almost perfect on paper or as close to it for that price. any recommends?

photo printers ****...they never print as good of quality as pro printing places. You can upload pix on walmart.com and pick em up in an hour. Cheap too. When you factor in the price of the printer, paper, and expensive *** ink...walmart is actually about the same price if not cheaper...

What size do you want to print? If it’s just 4x6 (regular size prints) then the Epson Picturemate is the best. However you may need to calibrate your monitor in order for the color to match. But that’s a different story.

Sites like allow you to upload your photos and they’ll print, ship, and take care of everything for about .19 each. HTH.

I need to print really wide pictures. About 3 inches high and six inches wide. Similar to the size of a chasiers check.

What does that mean?

The HP C4180 got some great reviews in Consumer Reports and it's below the $200 mark. I would recommend the C5180 because it is a color printer, picture printer and has great scan abilities and can be had at most places for $169-$179 on sale. I really like the fact that is has six seperate ink cartridges just like the Cannons.

MY GOD NO! DONT BUY CANON. They have SHITTY photo printers using OLD technology. They **** ***, best photo printers = Epson. Even the R260 for what it does in High Def. Photo's is a freaken bargain. If you dont listen to me i'll hate you for life, i know printers....i used to sell them for a year when i was a salesmen at Micro Center.

How can you say Epson is the best, have you ever used a Canon other than to print copies? I'm w/ Jmac, so what if you sold printers when you were 16. Have you seen the prints from the high end Canons?
