Help: Eclipse Speakers Might Be Blown?

I have some Eclipse speakers, that were fine when they were installed. After about a week and a half i start to notice a static like or hissing sound that comes through both speakers whenever any song plays from my cds or the radio..and its very hearable, especially in a song that doesnt have a melody surrounding it. But I do have a pretty weak headunit..but the headunit wasn't giving my stock speakers any trouble. But there giving the eclipse static through them. So are my speakers blown, or do i just need to get a better headunit to get rid of the static?

the front speakers that i have are dead..i only have the rear eclipse speakers in, and i can hear the static pretty clear..what can i do?

is it at all volumes or what? what kind of head unit how many rms x4? what are the speakers rms? id check the connections. the ground on the HU.

i dont have a sub or an amp yet, i just started building the system for this car..someone told me that a factory amp might be in my car still and it might be causing the static..but i dont see it in the trunk anywhere. so any idea what it could be?

There is most likely not a factory amp. But you need to get a hold of a good door speaker, it doesnt matter how good it is, or even hook up a home speaker just to see if your still getting static.

pull your head unit out and make sure the ground is grounded to a piece of metal behind wherethe hu goes by putting a bolt in it or whatever but try that and then come back or take a speaker out and hook it up to a radio or your dvd player or something and see if it makes the same sound if not then its your hu or ground
