My computer is popping up showing an error message of "DPMS OFF MODE"

what happens is, when i boot up my computer, everything boots up fine. i ma able to view my monitor and everthing and then it starts to load Windows and then half way through loading, my monitor pops up showing the DPMS OFF MODE and the shuts off... I can hear Windows starting, but not able to view it. Could it be my Graphix card went bad? or MY AGP slot may be bad??

Ill reboot my computer and go into BIOS and change my setting to my internal videocard ( or whatever thats called) and unhook my monitor and plug it into the internal and everything works fine... all except for Videos and games are terribly slow?

What do i need to do or try??

ummmm... ditto...

have you tried uninstalling it, completely...physically... boot then shut down, the re-install with current drivers (which you already got off the manf. website while you had the on-board card runinng the monitor)

ok... i don't know alot about computers, but why in BIOS when i have it set up to read AGP, I'm still able to see Bios screen and all the boot up up till windows loading screen?????
