What a load of crap.On Tuesday, Nov 7th I called to request my package held, so I could pick it up the next day. The operator informed me that it was not possible at the time, and that I should call back before 8 o'clock the next morning.
On Wednesday, Nov 8th I called at around 7:15AM to request that my package be held. It had left for delivery at 5:37AM I asked the operator if I could request drop-off around noon. She told me my package could be delivered at any time before 7PM.
From 11:30AM thru the afternoon, there were at least two people at my residence. At around 6PM I checked online tracking and it said "THE RECEIVER WAS UNAVAILABLE TO SIGN ON THE 1ST DELIVERY ATTEMPT. A 2ND DELIVERY ATTEMPT WILL BE MADE" at 5:32PM I was home at the time. No one came. There was no slip left at the door.
I called and requested same day will call. I was called back just before 7PM saying my package was ready for pickup. I got to the UPS location just after 7PM, and was helped quickly. The associate went into the back and didn't come out for 45min. When he came back he did not have my package. He went back again with a manager. Half an hour later they came back. Once again, without my package. I was informed that it wasn't on the truck any more, and it wasn't where it was supposed to be. So after waiting nearly an hour and a half I left with nothing.
I was told that I'd be getting a call tomorrow morning at around 8AM letting me know if my package was ready. 8AM happens to be the same time my first lecture starts. I guess I will stop in sometime tomorrow morning, and hopefully my package is there.
I would also suggest a quicker way to speak with an operator when calling the 1-800 number. Having to wait through 3 recorded messages is very annoying. I do not want to speak with a machine, I would like to talk to an actual person.
As you can tell I am VERY unhappy with the customer service UPS has provided me.
If they didn't **** so much I would have just picked it up myself at around 11:30AM and not wasted my time sitting at their pickup location for an hour and a half.
