hey i have someone offering me a pretty good deal on a

Memphis 16-MCD2500 - MCD2500 2500 Watt x 1 Class D Subwoofer Amplifier.

im wondering if i could use this to power 2 fi ssd 12s, and 2 ID CTX65cs components or if this overkill for the subs and speakers? opinions? thanks

That amp is a mon class D amp -- mono meaning it won't push 2 channels (which you need for comps) and that it is designed exclusively as a sub amp.

Even if it is a killer deal, it's not what you need for the system you are building. For best sound quality you will need two amps (one for the front sound stage and one for the sub(s)) or a multi-channel amp that can run your comps on one set of channels and your sub on the other channels (bridged).
