Hey I'm running 2 cerwin-vega HED 12's on an alpine mrv t320 amp. I had my original system installed with a 10 gauge wiring kit. I wanted to know if I want to change the wiring to 8 gauge which i think will slightly increase performance, do i only need to change the speaker wiring from the amp to the subs themselves or the entire wiring kit to the amp ?

The Alpine amp has a 2*80 watts rms but I have the amp bridged and its doing 210 rms. But i know that the amp is underrated for sure, because its really pumping hard on 2 cerwin vega 12's. So would it matter if i changed the gauge to 8 gauge or not ?

That would be a function of the harness, not the HU, I think. Have you looked into a Maestro or iData interface? i would check with crutchfield...
