HELP! CD player wont turn on!?

Ok, I have been redoing the entire interior of my truck and installing an all new system. The old owner did a shitty install job on the nakamichi cd-35z headunit. So about a week ago i took it out. I am ready to put it back in now, but i cant get it to turn on. It had these wires coming out of the deck:

green/green stripe=speaker channel

purple/purple stripe= speaker channel

white/white striped=speaker channel

gray/gray striped= speaker channel

Ok, then there were these wires...

red(1)=pretty sure its remote turn on wire

blue(2)= werent hooked up to anything

yellow (1)= wasnt hooked up to anything

black(1)= pretty sure its for power

Well i connected to power wire coming out of the dash to the black wire, and that didnt work. I tried it on the red one and yellow ones too. I figured it didnt work since the player wasnt grounded, so i set up an artificial ground from the case to the floor of my truck with a wire...didnt help. could anyone tell me the proper way to hook this thing up? which wires go where? or a website that could show me how? thanks id really appreciate it!

Step one: Get down on your knees and pray it still works after your experiments.

Yellow: constant 12v power.

Red: accessory (key-controlled) 12v power.

Black: ground.

Blue: remote turn-on and power antenna turn-on.

thanks. one of the blues is striped the other is solid. i dont have a power antenna. r u sure the red is power and not the remote turn on? i could have sworn it was. but u must be right. it will start up without the yellow one though wont it? thanks

shit i was putting the power to the black one.

solid blue is power antenna, striped blue is remote turn on.

and no you need that yellow to start up the deck.

ouch, hope you didn't blow the ground up.

ground the unit before you hook up power too.
