Help, cannot get a good seal around Sub

I have a MMatts sub in a sealed box. It just does not sound right, I don't know how to explain it, but no matter how the gain is set or what the volume is the sub makes a noise almost like a flapping. I have checked out the sub and everything is good.

I couldn't find any air leaks on the box itself, but found 2 between the sub and the box. How can I get a good seal between the sub and box? These are the only two screw that the holes act like they are stripped out, they are the only two that keep spinning, don't spin and stop when tight.

I know what your talking bout Bro. The times I have had sub-box air blow by, it would never be as loud as I wanted, but it always hit the higher notes (mind you, not as loud) but it wouldn't hit the low notes what so-ever. Kinda like the sub is "unloading". I honestly don't know how to explain that sound because it's such a particular sound. It doesn't always look the best, but I always just turned the sub about 5 degrees clockwise (or counter clockwise) and re-drilled the holes and slapped some silicone in there too. If it wasn't your sub to begin with, the basket around the outside where the screws are located could be warped because someone overtightened the screws out of order and its warped on one side. I hope this helps man, let me know!

If it is an air leak between the sub basket and the enclosure, I would recommend the stuff they use for window seal. It is sticky on one side so you can put it on the subs under-basket that touches the enclosure without actually sealing it to the box so you make a mess. It's a foam that comes in different thickness' and widths. I use it for terminal cap sealing so you can take the cap on and off if you want. Should work for the subs as well. The recommendation of turning it a bit and re-drilling works as well with this to keep it tight. Just make sure to pre-drill.

I just bought some weather stripping at lowes so I will give it a shot and I will predrill the holes as well. I actually have a new sub on the way so I will probably wait until it gets here to fix this now.
